Lake Manyara is a small but beautiful park situated near a lively agricultural community. Most of the accommodation in the area is located outside the boundaries of the park.
Kirurumu (Sister Camp Totamarind)
This tented camp sits perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment with views to the floor below and for miles across Lake Manyara National Park. Stone paths connect the twenty-two tents (there are some larger suites that are suitable for families) to the bar and dining area. The views from the common deck area are fantastic making this is a comfortable place to stay.
Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
Located on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment this lodge is famous on the circuit for its “infinity” swimming pool. There are ample places to lounge near the pool with endless views over the Rift Valley and nearby pool bar. The staff is exceptionally friendly and competent. The rooms are two- story thatched ‘rondavals’ and all the amenities the Serena group is known for are available. While staying here guests can enjoy morning walks, wildlife talks, audio-visual presentations and talks on the heritage and traditions of the local tribes.
